Pilot complaint: Found rudder pedals with no hydr. pressure has a false travel of approx 10 cm. No centering feeling.
Reason: The 3 override sping assies on the input shaft of the rudder (2 for the main PCU and 1 for the STBY PCU), will breakout at 55 Lbs pedal force.
The task 27-21-00-700-816-002 Rudder pedal forces test, the following note should be considered: During high wind conditions the rudder will NOT move on unpressurized manual inputs. The 3 overrides opens at approx 55 lbf and causes a two directional deadband feeling of 8,925 cm pedal motion.
