This video is made to give you an impression on how much dust is accumulated in time, during the
operation of the aircraft. This dust is coming from the air, day in day out, present in the
aircraft, with thousands of passengers going in and out of the same aircraft, leaving the dust and
dirt behind, transported through the air circulation vents and through the air return grills.
What you see is the dust accumulated in approx 3 to 4000 flight hours. During a heavy maintenance
check all sidewalls, ceilings and grills are removed and the area behind it cleaned from dust.
Especially the electrical parts must be cleaned to comply with the EZAP on EWIS regulations. See
ata 05 for more information about them Enhanced Zonal Analysis Procedure (EZAP) and associated
Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS).
